Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
~ Viktor Frankl
This is a simple enough statement and yet it takes a tremendous amount of practice, compassion, and patience to discover and then choose a new response to change the patterns in our lives that are no longer effective. Sensing things could be different, wanting to grow and feel free is often what brings us into therapy.
My areas of interest include helping children, teens, parents, and young adults work through the myriad of issues that may arise throughout each stage.
I have over 15 years of experience providing school based therapy at the elementary and high school levels with a particular focus on special education needs.
I’ve also taught Masters level students through supervising MFT trainees and interns and being an adjunct faculty member at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and Santa Clara University.
